Sing to the Lord a new song;
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
Proclaim his salvation day after day.
For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise.
We see throughout scripture God’s gift of music and its importance in worship and life. In Exodus 15 we read of Moses and Miriam’s songs of thanksgiving after successfully passing the Red Sea. The first chapter of the Gospel of Luke shares Mary’s song of praise to the Lord after she receives the news that she will be the mother of the Messiah. There’s also Simeon’s song, the songs of Deborah and Baruk, all of David’s songs, and countless other examples of praise, thanksgiving, and songs throughout the Bible.
The importance of music as worship is reflected in our worship services here at Fellowship. Our goal is to glorify God and lead more people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by making music and leading worship together.
Here at Fellowship UMC we are blessed to have the Children’s Choir, Sanctuary Choir, and Handbell Choir. In addition, we have the Media Broadcast Teams and many opportunities for Instrumental and Vocal solos and special music. Check out the opportunities we have and find a place to connect and use your God-given talents. We look forward to praising God together in worship!
