The Netflix series 13 Reasons Why has sparked conversations with Jr. and Sr. High students in schools, homes, and communities across the country. The raw and challenging issues the show speaks to through its provacative storytelling has created a desire in our church to equip parents to have thoughtful conversations with their students. Please join us Sunday, May 21st at 3:30pm as we have a community conversation with Fellowship UMC Student Ministry leaders (Rev. Ashley Anne Sipe and Ginger Dennie) and school counselors (Catherine Crutcher) about the best ways to deal with the issues the show introduces. We hope to meet you on the 21st, and please know we are in prayer for all of the students in our community who are facing issues of bullying, sexual assault, rape, drug addiction/abuse, and suicide.
